This update adds full support for On/Off Outlet (2663-222).

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Added full support for both outlets on On/Off Outlet (2663-222) so you can now:
    • Monitor and control both outlets
    • Configure both outlets in a scene
    • Schedule the top outlet (bottom outlet can be scheduled via a scene)
    • Configure email and push notification alerts for the top outlet
  • You can now cancel deleting a scene if a device fails to remove
  • Fixed an issue with Insteon Hub (2245-222) where a device could not be removed when deleting from All Devices > Settings > Edit This

This update addresses an issue where creating a Sunday-only schedule will incorrectly repeat every day of the week. This issue only affects Insteon Hub (2245-222).

Important steps to resolve the scheduling issue:

  1. Navigate to Settings by tapping Edit Settings from the Settings button
  2. Tap Schedules to view all schedules
  3. View the affected schedule(s) and, without making any changes, tap save

  • Addresses an issue where creating a Sunday-only schedule will incorrectly repeat every day of the week
  • Various issues that would cause the Insteon app to unexpectedly quit
  • Minor change to the Sonos quick control

Version 1.9.0

This version of the Insteon app includes bug fixes and improves connection speed when accessing Insteon HD Wi-Fi Cameras away from home.

  • Fixed an issue where removing an Insteon Thermostat would require the use of Force Remove

Version 1.8.9

This version of the Insteon app includes bug fixes and improves performance when controlling Insteon HD Wi-Fi Cameras.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where the execution of single-day schedules was incorrect by one day
  • Fixed an issue where some devices could only be removed by using the Force Remove feature
  • Fixed an issue where devices in a scene with a PLM group greater than nine could not be removed from the scene
  • Fixed various issues that caused the Insteon app to unexpectedly quit when controlling HD Wi-Fi Cameras

Version 1.8.7

This version of the Insteon app adds limited support for controlling Sonos speakers. You can now adjust volume, change tracks, play and pause and switch favorites for Sonos speakers that have been previously configured on iOS (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch). Sonos support requires Insteon Hub (2245-222) and is not compatible with Insteon Hub (2242). This version also includes fixes that improve the stability of the Insteon app on Samsung Galaxy S6 devices.

New Features

  • Control basic Sonos speaker functions from the Insteon app including transport controls and presets that have been previously configured on iOS
  • Activate scenes in which a Sonos player has been previously configured on iOS

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Addressed an issue that causes the Insteon app to unexpectedly quit on Samsung Galaxy S6 devices after viewing HD Camera video
  • Fixed issues that might cause the Insteon app to unexpectedly quit in the background on devices running Marshmallow
  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from adding any devices other than cameras after setup of Insteon Hub 1 (2242-XXX)
  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from completing the setup of Insteon Hub 1 (2242)

Known Issues

  • We are still working to resolve issues with the Insteon app on OnePlus One devices wherein the app will unexpectedly quit at launch.

Version 1.8.5

New Features

  • Adding Insteon HD Wi-Fi Cameras is now easier than ever thanks to Automatic Remote Access. You no longer need to configure port forwarding to view your HD Camera while away from home. For your existing HD Wi-Fi Cameras, enable Automatic Remote Access in Camera Settings.

Known Issues

  • Users with Samsung Galaxy S6 devices might notice the Insteon app unexpectedly quit when loading HD cameras. We are working hard on resolving this issue. If your camera happens to be in your Favorites, try logging in with a different device and remove the camera from Favorites (or other rooms) until a fix has been released. You can also call Insteon Support and they can assist you with this. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Version 1.8.1

This release of Insteon for Hub primarily contains improvements to the push notification experience. It also  contains performance improvements and fixes several issues with HD Wi-Fi Cameras.

  • You can now enable or disable all push notifications with a single switch from settings
  • In addition to vibration, the default android push notification sound now plays for push notifications alerts
  • Improved performance when switching between HD and SD mode on HD Wi-Fi Cameras

  • Fixed an issue that prevented a scene from being deleted
  • Fixed an issue wherein video would stop if the audio button was pressed when using some HD Wi-Fi Cameras
 

Version 1.7.5.178

This release of Insteon for Hub contains primarily bug fixes. As part of our support for Push Notifications, this version discontinues support for SMS alerts. We endeavor to keep our promise of no monthly fees; switching to Push Notifications will provide you with a better alert experience and help keep the services we provide free of charge.
